Our return policy extends 30 days past the date of delivery marked on tracking. If 31 days have gone by since your purchase, we will not offer you a refund or exchange.
Returned items are processed in the order they are received and may take 2-4 business days before a refund is submitted. Please note that once a refund is submitted it may take 3-10 business days for the banks to process and apply that refund to your account.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer (unless otherwise noted).
Restocking Fees / Return Shipping Fees
All items must be returned in their original packaging and be free of any dirt, grease, or stains. We suggest insuring the package because you are responsible for any loss or damage while in transit. Make sure to protect each piece from impact and make sure nothing can bounce around inside the box. Everything needs to be packed extremely securely because we will only accept it back if it arrives in NEW condition. We've had people try all kinds of "fast ones" so a technician will hand-inspect each piece and if it can't be sold as new you will have to pay shipping to get it back. Don't try to borrow our items and return them because it won't work. If your return meets all of the above requirements please email us for a Return Authorization number. The easiest way to do this is to just reply to your order confirmation email. You may also request a return label and the cost of it will be deducted from your refund.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds (as low as 50%**) are granted, these situations are as follows:
- Non-defective items with signs of use
- Non-Defective tools also include Diagnostic tools that have been activated and returned due to no fault of the retailer (Restocking fee of Minimum 20% or 10$ whichever is greater . This restocking fee helps to cover employee labor, packaging materials, and merchant processing fees)
- Any item not in its original condition is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error (including damaged retail packaging)
- Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery (within reason)
- Return shipping labels for elective returns*.
- Return Shipping Costs will be deducted from your total refund if MechanixGear had been requested to provide a return label
- Expedited shipping costs are not refundable.
*elective returns are defined as returns that are not due to defective or damaged products. (i.e. changed mind, better price, doesn't fit, didn't like, purchased wrong item, purchased by mistake, or "I didn't know what I was purchasing", claiming an item is defective when its not )
**Clothing, Apparel, Shoes, Hats, Gloves - subject to %100 percent restocking fee if found to have been worn / tags removed without any defects present
- Automotive Diagnostic Scanner (MFG Approval Required for returns)
- Any Non-Defective Diagnostic tool or accessory that requires registration will be refused and returned to sender if received 31+ days after initial delivery
- Any Opened or Used Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as (reasonable exceptions apply):
- Disposable Gloves
- Face Masks
- Face Shields
- Hand Sanitizer
- Opened/Used Consumable Items (i.e. Sandpaper, Polishes & Compounds, Polishing Pads, Wheels & Bonnets, Cut off wheels, Drill bits)
- Repair Kits, Rebuild Kits, O-Ring Kits, Replacement/Repair Parts
(Only returnable if the item has been unopened, if the returned item is missing components or shows signs of installation attempt a refund WILL NOT be issued)
- Clothing, Footwear, and Hats - Any clothing footwear or hats worn outside of a test fitting will not be accepted for a return, items with tags removed will not be accepted for return. If items are returned and have been found to have been worn , a refund will not be assessed.
Refunds (if applicable)
- Once your return is received it may take from 1-2 Business days to be inspected and have a refund or exchange assessed.
- If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
- Expedited shipping costs are not refundable.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, please double-check your bank account.
Then contact your credit card company or bank as it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular-priced items may be refunded. Sale items will not be refunded, in store credit will be issued.
Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items that are defective or damaged. In most cases replacement items are shipped after the defective/damaged item is inspected.
Return shipping to the customer will be at the same tier/speed/method as the original purchase.

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item (unless defective). Shipping costs are non-refundable.
A significantly discounted return label can be provided at request, and the cost will be deducted from your refund.
Exchanges are processed in 1-2 days, and replacements are shipped on the 3rd day or when the exchanged item is restocked.
If you are shipping an item valued over $50, we strongly suggest considering using a trackable shipping service & purchasing shipping insurance on items over $100. We can not guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

- ALL items are guaranteed against DOA for 7 days after tracking shows delivered and will only be exchanged, a refund will be provided if we are out of stock
